Beowulf

Beowulf, translated by Burton Raffel, portrays Beowulf as an archetypical ace. Beowulf goes on an epic prosecution risking death for glory which is a definite trait of prototypic whizzes. Beowulf would be relying on his own strengths and wits to emerge victorious. The limpid match against Brecca revealed another of Beowulf’s archetypical hero traits.
